My cat was rolling on the floor and meowing last night and I need help

Hey guys

Last night I tried picking my cat up and I kind of a rumble in his chest/stomach area and he immediately jumped out of my hands and started biting me. Later, he was rolling all over the floor and meowing. I assumed it was a stomach ache and left him because this happened once a few Months ago. Although he’s perfectly fine now, I’m still concerned and I want to know exactly what happened. Can you help me?
