Went to a cat cafe for the first time and had a great time playing with the cats for an hour. No problems at all. About 15-20 minutes afterwards, I was sneezing like crazy, crying a bunch, and my nose wouldn't stop running. Rubbing my eyes made it even worse. After a shower and a change of clothes I was mostly fine.
I guess I'm allergic to cats, but it's really weird because I've been to multiple cat owner's houses (for extended periods of time), lived with a cat when studying abroad, and pet a variety of cats with no allergic reaction at all. Is it possible I'm allergic to some specific breed, or did I develop an allergy since the last time I hung out with a cat for an extended period of time? As far as I know, the cats I've interacted with before weren't "hypoallergenic" or anything.
