So, like any first time pet owner I feel like I may be overly freaking out. Last week I posted about a kitten I decided to foster, and one of the great things about her being the fact that she was doing her business in the litter box.
This week though, things have changed. Although she had a minor litter accident, it didn’t happen again, until this week. Tuesday she has been constantly doing her business outside the litter box, not once, not twice, but three times. She went from being able to find the litter box on her own (which I thought was progress since she always called for me when she needed to use the box) to completely just soiling my carpet three times in a row. I don’t mind picking up after her, but I also don’t wanna turn my room into her personal toilet. I sleep here, too.
I’m afraid something may be wrong with her, as it became so sudden. Is this typical kitten behavior? She’s 5 weeks old, so I know to be patient, but again, I’m just worried something’s wrong with her.
tl;dr: 5 week old kitten started off using litter box well, suddenly stopped
