My 11 year old dog has a growth on her tongue. I went to the vet and they gave me a list of things they want to do in order to have her taken care of before surgery. I told the vet I would like to take her straight to surgery and have it removed for her comfortability.
What I am wondering is how to get the funds for something of this amount of two grand give or take. Now, I have indeed taken care of my dog for the past years with vet check ups, shots and any time she exhibited pain or distress. A couple of years ago I spent about 400 dollars for the vet to tell me she was old and running may make her hip sore lol. The money was well worth it as I wanted to make sure my girl was good. Obviously I don’t routinely check my dogs throat and apparently the vet I took her to didn’t do a full check up either. I’ve tried to get insurance but it is considered a pre existing condition. Any advice would be more than helpful as I want her to not have a growth that is more than likely bothering her. TIA
