Earlier this year I got a rescue cat. She was terrified of me for months but now she will sometimes lay beside me and let me pet her (she has realized that pets equal euphoric heaven lol). I have some toys scattered about my place and she loves playing with a toy that is suspended on a thin wire.
I want to play with her but everytime I pick up one of her toys she just cowers and runs into the corner. Any advice on how I can play with her without terrifying her?
