She’s a German Shepard-Husky mix. The situation is our fault because when we moved, we would give her treats when she would come back inside so she wouldn’t run away (since it’s a rental and there’s no fence in the backyard). Now it’s 1.5 years later and we’ve recently stopped giving her so many treats, but then we noticed she wasn’t eating as much, so we stopped the treats completely. We’ve tried showing her that she needs to eat her food first, but she only wants treats. She ate a small amount last night, but not enough to warrant a treat, excluding that, it’s been nearly a week. She’d happily accept a treat if we gave one to her, but won’t eat her food. She isn’t allowed human food either. Any advice?
