Introducing a young cat to an elderly one

Hi all,

I live with a 20 year old cat - she's extraordinarily healthy, just obviously old, slow and frail. My Grandad also has a cat, about 6 years old, who may have to move in with us in the near future, due to my Grandad's worsening health. How would I go about introducing this new cat to the home?

I know there's lots of stuff online about introducing unfamiliar cats, but I can't find anything about cats with such a huge age gap, and I'm worried about unnecessarily stressing out my old girl, or in a worst-case scenario, them getting in a fight.

Any advice appreciated, thanks.
