TL;DR: Call Chewy's Customer Service line (1-800-672-4399) within 30 minutes of placing your regular order. Give them your name, and they can cancel your order for you. They're available to call 24/7.
Long version: I'm taking my cat to the vet later this week for some concerning skin lesions and scabs he's been suffering with. But this evening he scratched himself really hard and started bleeding, and I panicked and ordered some anti-fungal disinfectant from Chewy for treating ringworm, because I thought that's what it was.
I came to my senses fairly quickly and remembered I'm not a vet, and I did some research and learned the the infection probably would have passed to me if it were ringworm, but it hasn't -- so it probably wasn't ringworm, but I'd just sunk $30 on treatment for it. I didn't see a way to cancel my order readily available on the website, so I called Chewy's customer service number since they're available 24/7, apparently(!)
An associate picked up the phone after one ring. She was really helpful and sweet, and informed me that Chewy has a 30 minute cancellation window for regular orders. Since I called so quickly she was able to cancel it for me, and now I can put that money toward Aladdin's vet visit this week so he can get diagnosed and medicated properly. ;v;
I didn't see any results for this particular issue when I searched around online -- just a bunch of Auto-Ship questions and answers. So I wanted to make a reddit post for posterity, in case anyone in my situation is Googling in a panic and doesn't want to jump straight to customer service to solve their issue -- potentially missing the short 30 minute window. ):
Obviously, Chewy's policies and information (the length of the cancellation window, the customer service number, etc) are subject to change, so if you're reading this in the far-flung future, be sure to double-check their website and Q&A in case the information available changes!
