Living with 3 pets in a 2 pet limit apartment—-PLEASE READ FIRST

I am in a bit of a dilemma. My partner and I have been living in an apartment for the last 3 years with our 2 dogs and a cat. We originally had one dog and one cat but our landlord let us adopt a second dog about a year in to our lease. I love all my animals to death and am not willing to permanently part with them. The problem is the owner of our unit is now selling it and we don’t have the funds to buy the unit or buy a house at this time so we have had to look for somewhere else to live. I’ve been searching for months to find something within our price range that allows three pets and there is NOTHING. Everything has a two pet limit. So basically we have come to the conclusion that we are just going to have to move into an apartment and only tell them about the dogs and hope for the best. We have impeccable rental history and all the pets are clean and non-destructive and I already tried once having my parents take the cat and she had terrible esperaron anxiety and made their lives miserable. I have been considering trying to get an emotional support certificate for my cat but I also feel like that’s being disrespectful to those who really do have emotional support animals. Has anyone here ever had to sneak an extra pet in to their apartment? What did you do? Did the landlords or rental agency find out?
