Long story short I'm getting my first puppy( I've had dogs before but always family pets) and I'm kinda worried how my cat and 2 kittens are gonna take it. I have a roommate who has a 7 month old puppy and they get along with him fine but my rooms has always been the no no square for dogs. It's their space and mine. Now that I'm getting one it will be a shared space so I'm worried they might retaliate, get upset, be nervous, etc. What should I do to prepare? When ever my roommates puppy comes in my room they just watch him and hop on the bed really. But my oldest cat.(3yrs) will swat and hiss at him if he comes close and so will my female(5 months) where as my other male (5 months) actively goes and bothers him and chases with him. I'm also concerned about how to train him to stay away from the shitbox. I've noticed dogs love to eat the stuff in there but that's not healthy and annoying. Any advice would help.
