Hi! I found an abandoned parakeet (no band, but obviously hand trained) this past Monday on the side of the road. I got her wings clipped so she didn't fly off on us and put out on community pages that we found her. Since then, we've treated her as if she's ours and if her owner comes then no big deal. I wanted to ask when is a safe window to assume that her original home isn't looking for her and when is a good time to buy her a friend?
