I'm planning on moving away from my parents home since they're abusive and move to my boyfriends country. I'm 19 years old and I love my dog that's a cute chihuahua we've had for over 7 years now.
Thing is, in the past when I was a child we used to have another dog prior to this one that got abused by my mother. This time it's better, just the fact no one cares about our current dog other than me. They do feed her, walk her, etc. But when it comes to petting, playing with it, and just making the dog happy, they don't do any of that. Most of the times they act like she doesn't exist.
On the other side, I am very attached to her and she to me. If I moved out and went No contact (which i plan on doing) with my family for a while, she would feel very depressed and probably get neglected.
So now I am thinking of just taking her with me - but the thing is that the contracts are signed under my moms name and that my mom owns her. I really don't want to get into trouble with the police and possible get arrested for that. FYI I live in Europe and I was planning to move to a country in Africa, I have almost prepared everything. Sadly the pets passport is in my mothers car so I won't be able to get it.
Imo it seems pretty impossible, but I wanted to ask if you could give me any advice
