My cat, Blue (3 years old) has always been a very outgoing kitty. Loves to meet new people. He has a brother cat who is almost a year old. They play rough a lot.
Anyways, Blue is very close with my boyfriend and I. He loves to cuddle with us. Especially my boyfriend.
The thing is I came home from work 2 days ago and my boyfriend was looking at me sadly and said he had scared the cat. He said that he had some food and was walking with it and tripped on the cat by accident, he yelled ( not at the cat, just in surprise. he's very sweet with animals ) and the plate fell, food went everywhere. Cat ran away to hide.
The thing is now the cat is always hiding. Barely eats ( but still does ) only seems to go to the potty after some coaxing to come out of our spare room, and just won't come cuddle with is on his own. I have brought him over to cuddle with us, which he is fine with (and will start purring) as I was originally worried there was a trust issue now between him and my boyfriend.
However he is acting scared with me too. I don't really know what to do. He looks fine, I don't think he is hurt. Is this normal? I just hope he will go back to his usual self soon!
