Hi all! Our cat (5??? Yrs old , neutered) is usually very active and vocal -so when he didn’t come to greet me after I got home from work on Thursday I immediately knew there was something off. Yesterday he didn’t eat or drink water and was overall lethargic. Early this morning he was still the same, so we rushed him to the ER. Blood work and urine analysis came back ok, same as tummy and chest x rays. No leukemia or other diseases. The vet did say that he had a fever of 105, and they hydrated him and also put ice packs on the cat carrier. They also gave him something to stimulate his appetite. I don’t remember the name but it’s something in his ear. The vet said they’d admit him for IV if he continues like this, but we are a tad short on money so she said it was ok to bring him home for the night and see how he does. If he’s still like this tomorrow, yes, we’ll take him back. Any thoughts?
