Bummer post but curious other pet owners experience with this. My 16 year old cat had chronic kidney diseases and had stopped eating very much a couple weeks ago. I had made an effort to get him eating again and gave pain meds. He stabilized a bit but a couple days ago he rapidly declined. I scheduled at home euthanasia as soon as possible (vet visits terrified him). He passed with my wife and I naturally a matter of hours before the euthanasia was scheduled. It was hard to watch but all things considered he went rather quickly. I feel terrible I was unable to give him a painless passing. Anyone else struggle with this?
