My 13 year old boy was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a week ago and put on 5mg of Felimazole twice a day. We’re supposed to give it to him 12 hours apart.
I usually give him his meds at 8am and 8pm but today he refused to take his first dose until around 2pm. My mom didn’t tell me until now after I got home and the vet is closed so I can’t call.
Should I still give him his dose at 8pm or wait until the morning? I don’t want him to miss a dose but i also don’t want to overdose him?
Any advice and/or experience with Felimazole (methimazole)? Thank you!!!!
