I ran into a colony of stray cats; about 7/8 of them. 4 of them seemed pretty young, and even though they backed away, they didn’t automatically run off. One of them even came and rubbed against me. The other 4 cats looked pretty big and clearly feral/ scared of me. They took the wet food I put out but otherwise they ran away every time I got close.
Is there anything I can do? I plan on going out there every week and giving them food, water, treats, etc. I even want to see if they can be socialized/ be adopted, because the young ones seemed really sweet, just scared :( I plan on calling my local animal shelter to see what I can do. I live on campus so unfortunately I can’t take them in personally for another 3 months.
