hey , i adopted a kitty about a month and a halfish ago. he is literally my world, he is my best friend and i love him so dearly. i go to my girlfriends house about every three days (twice a week) and stay the night. i’ll leave around 9pm and be back at 12 pm or 1pm. it’s hard for me to enjoy my time with my girlfriend because i’m worried sick about my cat being lonely or missing me. i think about him sleeping alone in my bed and missing me :( all my friends i ask about this tell me cats don’t miss us the same as other humans or even dogs do- however it’s hard for me to accept that because my kitty is very clingy! i harness trained him with the idea of maybe bringing him to her house, however he doesn’t even like to go outside so i dropped the idea, i don’t wanna stress him out by bringing him to her house (she also has a cat) so my question is, is he okay? does he miss me, or am i imposing human emotions onto him? is being alone for a night twice a week too much for a kitty to handle? for reference he is two years old. he also was a stray before i adopted him if that makes a difference. thank you!
