I have a senior cat who is unhappy with the 10 m/o kitten I got three months ago. No outright fighting, but a lot of hissing and getting in his space.
I’m using a Feliway diffuser.
I’ve read lots of articles on this, but I can’t use a lot of the tips because my senior cat WILL NOT eat treats. Never has. He also won’t use any kind of cat furniture or play with toys. Never has.
These things make it harder to reward, distract, or help make more space. I am in a 1 br apt so I don’t have that much space to work with. Both are indoor-only.
Any ideas on how to smooth things over with the aggressor cat’s resistance to treats, toys, and trees?
