I have 3 chihuahuas. 1 regular and 2 minis. All are between 10 months to a year and a half. The big one has this habit of biting me everyday. Its usually when he's excited and in a playful mood. If I get him amped up he will start attacking me and going for my hands. He also attacks me when I'm doing my own thing but he happens to be in a playful mood. Sometimes he bite me aggressively like I'm a chew toy. Sometimes he sits there and chews on my fingers as if they were a bone. I'm certain he is not doing this out of aggression, hate or self defense. He can be very sweet and loving outside of these moments. I think he enjoys it. He knows I don't like it and will stop if I tell him too, but repeats again shortly later . Ps he bites very hard and it doesn't bleed because his teeth are dull, but it does hurt due to the force. He also sometimes bites my arms. When he bites my body reacts as if I was jolted with a small bit of electricity.
For the other 2 dogs. The lone female is super attached and clingy. However If your playing tug of war with her or touch her the wrong way, she will snap at you. Not in a playful way like the other one, but as a way to let you know she doesn't like what your doing. But this is avoidable as long as you don't touch her the wrong way. No complaints about her.
The third one is the least worrisome. He doesn't bite. He will only wrap his teeth around you if you get him riled up and pretend to grab at his limbs. He will put his teeth around you for a split second but will not apply any pressure at all. He does this playfully.
So my questions are, why is my big chihuahua doing this? Is it for fun? Does he think its appropriate? How do I get him to stop? Btw he also humps my leg ans pillows quite often and almost every day in an aggressive manor. It's very annoying. He is neutered.
