So, got a new cat a few weeks ago. He's over a year old already but his litter box habits are atrocious.
He will start covering his business and will begin scratching the tops and sides of the litter box. We've got a big tub that's high walled, and use plain clay litter, for reference. Not only that, but he will also accidentally step in and dig through his poop occasionally and get it all over his paws and legs.
I'm jot entirely sure how to proceed. Any help will be appreciated!
