My roommates cat (6 months old) uses the front door as a scratching post even though she has 2 scratching posts, one of which is by the door. Roommate got the second one which we hung on the door hoping she’d use that instead of jumping and climbing onto the window panes on the door. It didn’t work and she doesn’t use the second scratching post at all. I’ve put plastic wrap on the door, she tore it down. I just put aluminum foil all over it and she immediately started tearing into it. What am I supposed to use to keep her from ruining the door if she likes all the materials most cats don’t? I haven’t tried double sided tape yet and that seems more unpleasant so maybe that would keep her off for good? She’s been doing this for the 3 months we’ve lived here!!
