My 12 year old cocker spaniel has been having difficultly getting up from a lying down position and even with help, it takes a while for her hind legs to adjust and walk properly. She is too old for surgery, vet gave her a strong antibiotic injection and she was also on antibiotics for 10 days. She is also on neuroforte for 20 days now. Vet said to continue it for another 10 days. AFter injection, she was getting up really well and that lasted unfortunately for a week before she started having difficulties again. I'm at my wits end, I called up the vet and he's going to give her predisone to help with any pain she is experiencing. I absolutely hate the idea of her being on steroids and medication in general, but I really just need something to help her (and us) get through this. I've already ordered omega 3 and Azmira Shark Rah in hopes that these supplements will help her. I don't know if I'm too late on that. Has anyone's dog had a similar experience? Any advice is great and appreciated. Thank you!
