Feeding two cats help

My boyfriend and I are wanting to add another feline family member to our family but we are having issues figuring our how we would feed him/her. See we currently have a very large male orange cat (Vinnie) who has IBS. Due to his health and weight issues he is on a vet prescribed cat food and is ONLY allowed to eat this food because other food can cause him to get really sick. So we currently have a feeder set to a timer that will feed him twice a day (3 am and 6 pm), which is a weird schedule but it is what has worked best and allows us to sleep at night. So we need to figure out a way that would make it possible to ensure that the two cats eat the correct amount of their own food. We were thinking possibly two automatic feeders but we are worried that Vinnie will push the other cat out of the way to eat the other food instead (the vet was surprised he even likes his prescribed food because according to her his food tastes like nothing). Also other feeders that use a collar microchip to detect a certain animal only hold one serving of food. Have you guys found anything that works well for you? Thanks!!
