i need help with a jealous dog

a little backstory first, i go out for walks usually at 5 in the morning, and on my way to and from the track i play woth most dogs of my street (12 come play with me when i'm at their gates, and 3 just keep some distance usually without borking, they are all owned dogs, and i usually play with them through the gates, petting and stuff, but recently, freddie's family found a starving stray cub, and decided to take her in and care for her, she is about 1/7 freddie's size, and while he doesnt aggro her normally, he starts growling if i play with her, growling at her and usually steps away from the hand im petting he with and noses in the way of the hand that is petting blackie, making her back away with his growl, and i always try to make him understand that he either shares the headpets with het or isnt pat at all, but today he snapped and i could swear he was going to bite her head off, btw yes her head fits into his mouth just fine, luckly she scampered away crying and their owners got ahold of freddie, btw most owners already know i play with their dogs and are cool with it, but problem is, how do i teach freddie to stop beating her over pats? is there something i should do or should i just wait and hope she outgrows him or his family teaches him to share? btw, most dogs i play with are in eyesight of other dogs in the street, and the 2 other houses with more than a single dog never had this kind of problem, they all get along and share the pats just fine, anything i can do in this situation?
