I got my kitten a little too early, she was about 6 weeks when i got her. My grandmother was in a rush to get rid of her. I’ve noticed there’s one blanket in particular that she likes to suck on, as if it were her mother. I don’t mind this behavior but i don’t know if it’s something i should let continue or not? What i have an issue with is that when i go to hold her she immediately starts attacking my hands and arms by biting them. If i’m sitting down, i’ll push her away, but she will keep coming back as if i’m playing with her. Now, this is where i’m probably at fault, when she would do this to me, I would smack her but not hard just a light smack on the behind. I’ve noticed that she’s just got so much more aggressive. I can’t pet her or hold her without her immediately biting me or digging her claws in me. I wasn’t aware cats don’t respond well with punishment and especially physical. So what can i do now to break her bad habits of biting and clawing, when i’m just trying to love on her?
