My cat threw up his food/acting lethargic after throwing up hairballs?

So my long haired orange male cat named Smitty had been trying to throw up two days ago and nothing was coming out, he's done this before and it usually meant he had a hairball. After a few attempts of him not being able to get it out I did some research and found out you can give kitties olive oil/vegetable oil to help them pass it which I ended up giving him a tbsp of vegetable oil that day (Wednesday) and then the next day (Thursday). He still hadn't attempted to throw up within those two days.

Today I woke up early this morning to him throwing up a hairball, I thought maybe he'd feel better but a few hours later he threw up an even bigger one. Again, I thought he'd feel better by then but he still seemed somewhat lethargic. Later he threw up some brown bile, not too dark but it was slightly brown and it was liquid with no food chunks or anything, just a little bit of fur.Now about 4-5 hours later he went and ate a little bit of food after he had been sleeping this whole time and about an hour later he just now vomited that up as well and still seems pretty upset. I got him to drink some water thankfully and now he's resting again.

He was recently diagnosed with FLUTD about two months ago and they put him on a prescription food from Hill's called "Urinary Care c/d Multicare" and it gave him some bad diarrhea for the first few weeks (or it may have been from the antibiotics he was on when he was diagnosed.) which he got over and now I've noticed he seems to be slightly constipated which I believe the vegetable oil helped him with that as well as he passed some stool this morning which had some fur in it but this time much easier than his last go.

I've been making sure he gets plenty of water and have been monitoring him as much as I can tonight as I'm so worried..

Is his tummy simply upset from all the hairballs he had? I wasn't able to groom him as I usually would because I was gone for a few days prior to the first hairball attempt.

If he cannot hold any food down for the next day I will be bringing him for an emergency vet visit as soon as I can. I just want to know if anyone else has had this experience and maybe i'm being too dramatic? I worry about his health so much and sometimes I feel like it may pass, whatever he has at the moment. I hope his tummy is simply upset.

He's eating again right now as i'm typing this. I only put a small amount out though. Should I take his food away for the night until his stomach settles and see if that helps any?
I'm sorry if this isn't the appropriate place to ask this, I just need to calm my nerves and hear some insight from people who may have gone through something similar.
