Unfortunately our dog passed away at a young age a few months ago. He was just under 4 years old. Our other dog is old and is dying and we are planning on getting at least one dog but maybe two. My dad told me to keep a look out. I’ve found a few great rescue dogs that pretty closely fit the description of what we are looking for and he refuses to consider them because they aren’t pure breeds. This really frustrates me. I don’t understand why he’d prefer to pay thousands and support a crappy industry when there are great dogs that need homes. I mean I do know why but I think it’s ridiculous. Pure breed dogs are much more prone to health issues (as I said our last dog died at 4). Ugh it just frustrates me.
