New Rescue Kitten, Bullies older Cat

We need some serious help. We have a new kitten that's causing so much trouble that our original cat has become sick with a cold and high blood pressure. Our first cat eats very little and no longer plays with us. We don't want to "return" the kitten but we're forced to consider it now.

The original cat has been around humans her whole life, we got her when she was less than 2 months old. That was over a year ago. She is very people friendly and listens well but never exposed to other cats.

The new kitten is at least 5 months old, lived outdoors alone mostly until rescued by a shelter, from which we adopted her. She is very competitive and bullies our older cat. Perhaps she thinks she is playing but the older cat walks away and makes noises.

We introduced them by keeping the kitten on my bedroom for a week, then opened her up to the rest of the house. The problems started then. It's been 5 days since then. Whenever they would fight we would shout "No!" Which the older cat understands so maybe she thinks she's not allowed to 'play' with the kitten?

Any advice would help us out so much!

The Kittens name is Skitty and the adult's name is Litten.
