We have a female Japanese Spitz aged 7 that is basically a house dog. She was never socialized by my parents at a young age and that's the reason she was scared of any dog she encounters. She never had any experience interacting with any dog whatsoever.
Yesterday, we were gifted a 3-month old Bichon Frise that is very lively and friendly. He loves playing with the humans and the other dog's toy. He also loves to follow everyone especially the other dog but she's so scared that she always run away and stay at any high ground (couches, stairs, beds) as much as possible. So far they had no doggie interactions yet and I'm concerned about their future relationship as playmates.
