My three-legged cat Oscar is around 16 years old, she was an outdoor-indoor cat for most of her life before we moved, then she was inside only for a while. However, she started peeing on my parents pillows when they were asleep. Then, they decided she would only be an outdoor cat. During the summer, she just lives on the front porch and gets plenty of attention, but now that it is getting colder again, she lives in the garage. Most of the day she just lays on this blanket in the same spot, and most of the time the garage is pitch black. I visit her everyday down there, but every time I just feel really bad because she doesn’t get much attention at all and she’s just sitting in the dark all day, she can go outside because we leave a part of the garage open, but now that it’s cold she never does. I always ask my parents to move her back up but they insist she can never live inside again after the pillow-peeing thing that happened over 3 years ago. Should I feel bad for my cat?
