Today I took my cat to visit the people who fostered him as a kitten. He has stayed with them before, so I was reasonably confident that he would be ok. They live in a town 45 minutes away from where I live but he's a weird cat that does car rides well.
When we got there, he bolted. Because we were traveling, I had him in his harness and lead. We saw him up a tree in the yard over, and I wasnt worried because I thought he'd come back inside when he was ready. But then he disappeared. I had to leave because I had work this evening, but his foster mom and dad promised to look for him and keep out food ect for him.
I'm absolutely petrified that he is trapped somewhere, scared and alone. We're in south africa, so it's not cold outside. I've posted on the local missing pets pages and tomorrow will contact the local vets.
My heart is breaking. Any advice, or words of comfort would be so appreciated. He is my baby.
