Baby rabbit and adult cat, can they get along?

Hi i'm going to rent (for starters) a 3 month old rabbit this week from a breeder to see how it goes. He's going to be living in my room. We have a cat at home who is 9 years old, he's very attached to me and very affectionate so my main concern is jealousy and that it will sadden him. He's such a sweet boy though and I don't think he'll wanna attack the rabbit though he obviously has hunting instincts, he goes bonkers when he spots a fly or if a moth gets inside in the summer but a rabbit is larger (although the one i'm getting is a dwarf) so i'm hoping they can bond. Best thing would be if they became friends but it would be nice if they could tolerate each other at least. I also wonder how long I should wait before I introduce them to each other? Can I bring the cat in my room the first few days already while the rabbit is in his cage?
