Most mornings my cat jumps on my bed, often waking me up when, always carrying a toy with him. He then places that toy on my blanket and plays a bit with it, scratching the environment (blanket or sheet) in the process. If I throw the toy away he just picks it up again and carries it back to me (yes, like a dog) When he starts playing\scratching I either yell at him or spray him with water. He stops for the next 5 minutes then after running away, but it never lasts and the lesson learned seems to be that he can do this until i react..
Generally i don't mind if he plays in bed, but the scratching is really destroying my covers..
One thought I had is getting an extra cover blanket that can be scratched and put it over my bed & blanket but that could become too warm for me and also is extra hassle that I'm not sure if want.
I also still want to allow him in bed..
