So, even before I start, to be very clear, I will not be using this on or too near my pet if I can avoid it.
I have a large male cat. Recently, even after heavy cleaning, my apartment has carpenter ants. I used borax traps which only help a little bit with this kind of ant. I was wondering if it would be safe to use food grade under an entry way. The tricky part is I have a PTAC ait conditioner and I have a hunch they may be able to get in through that. I don't want to use it near the unit because I don't wany myself, or my cat to breathe it in and get sick.
Vinegar hasn't helped much. My land lord is aware but I'm concerned with using pest control because they tend to use heavy chemicals. I appreciate any advice or feedback. Carpenter ants can be super tricky.
