Last week, we made the big move and I'm realizing my Coco baby is having a rougher time adjusting than I anticipated. When we first officially moved in and she saw the place for the first time, she seemed excited and was running around with her usual hyper self but ever since, she's been edgy and almost petrified. The poor thing is scared of her own shadow/reflection....literally. I have a mirrored closet and whenever she sees her reflection, she growls and hides 💀....this cat has seen mirrors and her reflection before at our old place! The other day she scratched me 3 times and was jerky and startled at my touch which she's never done before. Kiree, her big "bro" will be 18 next month; he's experienced moves before so he's just fine and loves the new place. Coco is a little over a year old.
Please tell me it eventually gets better and how I can calm her. I miss my happy go lucky baby 🥺.
