I have a cat and a dog, and their personalities are similar in some ways, but pretty different in others. Both are very playful and enjoy chasing their toys. Both are very affectionate and sweet. The main difference is that my dog is very outgoing, she loves meeting new people and is very social. My cat isn't necessarily shy but she doesn't feel comfortable with anyone except for my boyfriend and myself. We rescued her from the streets though so it makes sense. She is so sweet though, she smiles a lot and does this cute thing where she places a paw on me and smiles. It's been really rewarding to see her thrive in a home environment. My pets are best friends too and I love that so much.
