Our kitties love “kicker” toys like the KONG kickeroo and the Jackson Galaxy twisted kicker. But the problem is, they tear. them. up. One cat in particular will gnaw on the ends and corners until he’s eaten through them and then starts pulling out the stuffing. Lucky(?) for us, he seems to have a stomach of steel, just holds all his eaten toy pieces and then barfs it up every once in a while no problem, heh.
Anyway - I want to give them better toys, ones that can’t be so easily eaten and ripped open. I’ve seen some brands like goDog that have “chew proof” fabric, but comments that their seams are weak, and other toys with reinforced seams, but weak fabric.
I’m not against dog/other animal toys, but I’m really looking for that “kicker” shape, a fat rectangle or cylinder about 10ish inches long, and soft/fabric, not silicone/rubber/plastic. I don’t prefer a squeaker, but it’s not a deal breaker.
I haven’t been able to find anything that fits what I’m looking for, just flat ones, different shapes, or things with a lot of ears/legs/wings (which this cat will gobble right up before you even notice).
Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ll be forever grateful! (And so will our kitties, we had to retire one of their toys today!)
