My cat ever since we got her has been very, very vocal. Especially during night hours to the point where my fiancé and I have to wear ear plugs just to be able to go to sleep. Nothing seems to soothe her reliably. We have tried letting her into the bedroom (but she just meowed in our faces), waking up at all hours of the night to give her a couple of treats hoping she stops screaming, and we feed her at 8pm so she isn’t super hungry come morning. And of course she did it this morning at 2:45am. However, I live in an apartment with neighbors across, below, and to the left of me and as I got up to give her treats I heard a quiet scream of “stop” and I am assuming it is my cat as she was meowing as loud as she could and the walls here aren’t very sound proof. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with a loud, vocal cat at night? I’m worried this may cause an issue with my neighbors 😬
