Hey y’all. My six month old kitten is scheduled to get spayed next week, but she went into heat this past week. I know the only real solution is getting her spayed, so I’m hoping she’s out of it by the time her appointment comes up. However, in the meantime, will I be creating bad habits/just making her meow even more if I play with her and cuddle her when she’s yowling now? Most of the cat advice I’ve received has said to ignore behavior I want her to stop, but I feel like it’s different when it’s really a hormonal thing and not her usual behavior.
