I broke up with my ex about 4.5 years ago due to him being all around toxic and had anger issues. I always talked to his family about how crazy he would act and how angry he would get. But his mom is a psychiatrist and she would always say "he's on new medication. He's fine"
After we broke up, I found comfort and love in his best friend which I had known for years. My existence best friend is also his neighbor..
(My bf and I live in different states. And I met my ex online and never met him in person)
When my ex and I were together, he got a cat which I named. My ex and I broke up for a while after and when we got back together, I was informed his cat died. He accidentally closed her in the door and it passed away.
My boyfriend (his now ex friend and neighbor) told me he accidentally stepped on it.
Over the 4 years his ex has sent very disturbing emails to both my boyfriend and I. Some emails he sent to my boyfriend he said he would Gut my bfs cat if he ever saw her again in his yard.
Tonight we get a disturbing text from one of my boyfriends old mate and asked if he knew about what happened to his cat.
My bf responded with No and we were informed he murdered his cat after he was mad. We asked his mate if his mom knew about it and he said yes. My ex admitted it to everyone and his mom is trying to cover for him for killing his cat.
He only got mad at me. Nobody else. So I feel I am responsible, HOWEVER...
He had another cat after we broke up that some how died as well..
This dude has said pretty f-ed up things to us over the years and now hearing about him murdering his cat, we don't know what to do.
I want to tell officials or something and my boyfriend doesn't want to stir the pot and make him angry and act psycho on us. (More than he has.)
I dont want him hurting people or animals. He needs help.
What do we do?!?!?!?!?!?
