They only seem to use Vetsulin(70$) and Glargine(300$).
My cat has been diagnosed just this February and has already moved up to 2.5 units of Vetsulin and hasn’t shown much improvement. His diabetes has made him very skinny as well but it doesn’t seem to being getting worse atm.
My vet wants to do the 300$ insulin if Vetsulin doesn’t start working... I can’t afford that. I originally wanted to get him on Prozinc but they don’t have it.
Should I try to find a vet that has Prozinc? I’ve ordered a glucose monitoring kit as well to start doing the curves at home seeing as he won’t eat up there because he’s very nervous to the point I end up picking up a pee soaked cat. They bathe him but he ends up messing himself again afterwards and even on the way home.
