We recently moved away from France, our residence for the past 11 years, to return to the US due to covid and employment. We had a cat that we’d had for some 8 years but could not bring due to covid specific airline regulations. Instead, we gave her to a friend that we’d known for 4 years and with whom our cat was familiar. I hope that she’s been ok with him and I feel horrible for leaving her, but we may return to bring her to the US this year, as airlines are being more lenient. Will she remember us?
