Me and my husband live in an apartment, my husband has recently gotten a 3.5 moths old Somali kitten. He’s friendly and playful, and I know his breed generally gets along with other pets. However, it has always been my dream to own a husky. I know they need a lot of space and exercise, and it shouldn’t be an issue - I work flexible hours, we live near a park, and one of the reasons I want a husky is to run together. Also I work from home so he won’t be alone and unsupervised. However, I know huskies have high predatory instincts and chase cats. Is there a way to make it work? Husky in an apartment with a cat? Even if I introduce them as babies, will I ever be able to leave them together unsupervised, if I need to go somewhere, like to a store or wherever? We live in a studio apartment, it’s not small, but there’s no separate rooms except for a bathroom. We also have a lake house where we go on weekends if the weather is nice. It doesn’t have a fence and is surrounded by forest. From what I’ve read it seems like there’s no way to let husky just run around and swim in the lake with us ‘cause he’d run away?
