I adopted a 9 month old cat, Oliver, a week ago from our local humane society. He's been the best kitty since we brought him home, he loves to snuggle and isn't afraid of strangers. However, we took him to the vet for the first time yesterday. Based on his records from the humane society, he received a FVCRP (Distemper) vaccine at the end of September but there's no evidence he received a booster which he was supposed to get 3-4 weeks later. The vet decided to restart the whole thing and gave him another FVCRP shot and we are scheduled for a booster in 4 weeks. Since we brought him home he's been hiding in odd places and acting very sluggish. Before this he was the most loving cat, even when we first brought him home! Is this just a side effect of the vaccine?? Should I be worried that something is seriously wrong with him?
