My dog is a young adult (1.5 yrs- almost 2) that I adopted in July. Until this past month, she's chewed on nothing but her toys. She's also began barking although she was a really quiet dog. I hadn't heard her bark at all for the first few months.
Recently, she's destroyed my tv remote, shoes, and some other minor items. She's also started barking when people are at the door.
Is the lack of walks the culprit? She was recently spayed and couldn't walk for two weeks. Her usual walks are 45 minutes.
When I try to discipline the behaviors in any way, she flinches or hides (I never raise my voice, but I'll present her with the damaged item and/or tell her 'no').
