So when I was younger and in a Spanish class, I really wanted a dog. My parents hardly knew Spanish so it was easy to trick them. So, one day I asked them: "Mom, Dad, can I get a perro?" (which is the Spanish word for dog.) And they responded, "Wait, what's a perro?" And I explained that they are a super cute and easy to take care of animal. And the next day they looked it up and all that came up was pictures of dogs.
