My dog has been through a lot. I got her from someone on Craigslist for 80 dollars. With that owner, I found out that she hadn't been to a veterinarian. She also didn't know her name.
Today she was spayed and they said that she's microchipped. I hope she's not a stolen dog, but if she is, then she does have symptoms of neglect. At the same time, I have no idea how long she was with the person that I got her from.
What should I do going forward?
She's super attached and screams whenever she's taken from me. She's also immensely spoiled now. I'd hate to give her up.
I've spent nearly 1k on vet appointments + classes for dog manners + hours training her.
