Hello everyone, I would like to first mention, I'm an avid refurbisher. I get tanks from all over, clean them up, remove tedious calcium deposits, and overall will give them away to people in need.
So my uncle has this tank from 2009. He broke up with his girlfriend and she let him keep the tank. Well, he decided since he never uses it, he wanted to donate it to me to give it another life. Rather than giving it away, I decided to take him up on that offer and use it.
So here are some things about this tank:
It has been in his shed for a few years, the elements have gotten inside of the tank, however, despite this, the glass is EXTREMELY thick and no damage has been caused to the tank. Though, I still refuse to use it as a fish tank due to paranoia that it would explode and water would go all over the place, hurting both animal and furniture.
So my question is, besides aquatic pets, what is an animal I could use to put inside that tank?
I go off to college and my mother is more than willing to take care of the animal while I am gone, but does not like snakes.
So pets I can not put in that tank:
-Snakes -Turtles (not wide enough) -Tarantulas -Any aquatic animal (don't trust the glass)
Thank you for reading!
