My wheaten terrier just turned 13, I love her so I much and she’s been my best bud for so long. She’s been fighting kidney disease and I know it’s time to say goodbye this week. My heart really doesn’t want to euthanize her but I know it’s for the best. I can see it in her eyes, all the pain and sadness, she’s lost too much weight and isn’t eating anymore. It’s the right thing to do for her to end her suffering. It breaks my heart and I’m torn up inside. I’ll miss her being by my side. How can I cope properly and prepare myself knowing my best bud is going to die in my arms? I’ve been crying tons and can’t really accept that this is going to happen in a few days. 😢 any advice or kind words reddit.
